Broadcasted on the NHK channel, Super Presentation is a Japanese TV show which showcases famous speeches based upon the world-renowned TED Conference, where the global leading thinkers and doers give the talks on technology, entertainment, and design in 18 minutes. In 2016, the show had a rebrand and welcomed Joi Ito and Sputniko!, the director and the assistant professor of the MIT Media Lab, as the new show hosts. Therefore, I was commissioned to create a new logo, graphics system, and the opening sequence for the show.

As the TV show is about “inspiring speeches”, I based the design on the shape of punctuation such as quotation marks, the question mark, and the exclamation mark. In the opening sequence, I scattered the graphic elements on multiple layers and composed them into a dynamic logo to nod to the TED’s slogan "ideas worth spreading." These modular graphic elements are also used to compose for all the graphics that appeared in the show and on its website.
